On July 9th, Golden Bridges Foundation hosted an event featuring Tom Healy, Chairman of the Fulbright Scholarship Program. During the event, Mr. Healy shared his perspectives on the importance and history of US-China relations, and the modern significance of cultural and educational exchange. The Fulbright Scholarship allows students to pursue these types of exchanges and has done a lot to both directly and indirectly impact US-Sino relations since its inception.
The dialogue also incorporated some specifics about the Fulbright Program. Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy Nathan Kelter was able to provide the audience with more information on the application process and requirements. Many attendees were eligible students and academics who are interested in applying for a Fulbright Scholarship in the future.
