On September 11, 2013, Golden Bridges attended the inaugural Committee of 100 Speakers Forum called, “Gateway to the Pacific: U.S.-China Economic and Entrepreneurial Exchange”.
The Committee of 100 Speakers Forum Series serves as a high-level platform to highlight major issues in U.S.-China relations and the Asian American community. Conducted in C-100’s five main regions – Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Washington, D.C., and Greater China – the forum addresses national and international issues that impact local and regional communities.
The inaugural forum featured: The Honorable Edwin Lee, Mayor of San Francisco; The Honorable Jean Quan, Mayor of Oakland; Marguerite Gong Hancock, Associate Director of SPRIE, Stanford Graduate School of Business; and C-100 Member Robert Lee, Chairman of the Board, Blue Shield of California. Speakers discussed and assessed the local impact of U.S.‐China economic and entrepreneurial exchange in information technology, cleantech, social media, and other key industries.

The Committee of 100 is a leadership organization co-founded by American cellist Yo-Yo Ma, renowned architect I.M. Pei, Wall Street Investor Henry Tang, and 3 other distinguished Chinese Americans. Today it is the world’s most influential leadership organization consisting of of prominent Chinese Americans in business, government, academia, and the arts. For over 20 years, the Committee has served as a substantive bridge in the U.S.-China dialogue by fostering regular exchanges with the leadership of Beijing, Taipei, and Washington. Members of the Committee of 100 are leading U.S. citizens of Chinese descent who leverage their collective influence, resources and experiences to address important issues affecting U.S.-China relations as well as significant concerns of the Chinese American community. Current members of the Committee of 100 include Steve Chen, Co-Founder of YouTube, Kai Fu Lee, Former CEO of Google China, Michelle Kwan, figure skating Olympic champion, and Lisa Ling, journalist, writer and TV host.
